Smashed to Pieces (in the middle of the night) (2026)

Smashed to Pieces (in the middle of the night) received an in-process showing at Rennweg Studios (Austria, Vienna) as part of the ATLAS program at ImPulsTanz on August 9, 2026.

Smashed to Pieces (in the middle of the night) uses a mix of instruction-based pedestrian material, image-based constructions, and improvisational prompts to subvert preconditioned movement patterns. The title of the work comes from graffiti written on a WWII-era, Nazi-constructed flak tower, or air raid tower, in a park adjacent to Rennweg studios, where the work was developed. The work also includes field recordings from the area.
